Image Processing / Computer Vision Developer
APPLICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION ARE CURRENTLY CLOSED
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Image Processing / Computer Vision Developer. You will be working on state of the art systems for processing imagery and video for a range of applications including media content analysis, digital forensics, and surveillance. Experience in image processing / computer vision is essential. Experience in machine learning (e.g. Deep Learning) is beneficial. In the first instance, please send your CV to firstname.lastname@example.org with a brief cover note.
As an Image Processing and Computer Vision Developer in our small research and development company, you will work on a combination of research and development projects on our internal roadmap and for external clients. You will be working on development and application of state of the art algorithms to real world problems. You will be using code you develop directly as well as OpenCV and Deep Learning backends. You’ll be embedded in our team of highly-skilled computer scientists, mathematicians and developers, and will be given high levels of responsibility from a very early stage. All our employees are constantly learning about new technologies and state-of-the-art algorithms, and have creative freedom in planning and executing their work. We tailor our roles to each individual ensuring that their skills are put to best use and to ensure continued professional development. As well as the technical depth and variety you will experience, you will have the chance to work on systems and technologies that can have a genuine impact on security and society.
Ideally you will have an undergraduate Computer Science degree and/or PhD in image processing / computer vision. We will consider candidates with degrees in other areas as long as they have extensive commercial image processing experience. The role is open to graduates as well as those with commercial experience. Whilst experience in Deep Learning is beneficial, this role would also suit somebody with very strong skills in “conventional” image processing who wishes to master more recent machine learning approaches.
This role requires an excellent academic background and strong coding skills in Python or C++. We are particularly interested in applicants who can demonstrate that they have learnt new skills and expertise in their own time, on personal projects, and those who are active contributors to the open source community.
If you have a real passion for computer vision, and would like to be involved in building some truly exciting technology please get in touch.
